Power Your Summer
Insight: Music festivals need almost 30,000 megawatts for power. The generators used need regular diesel that emits high levels of CO2.
Idea: Bacardi will create the first festival powered by movement by placing piezoelectric dance floors that convert kinetic energy into stored electricity in the busiest subway stations around the country. Different sections of the festival get unblocked as people keep moving and storing energy.
At the end of summer, Bacardi will launch their music festival, completely powered by the electricity stored and generated through these dance floors.
